This is an extra large acrylic painting by Iris Kaplan. Shades of warm whites, browns, and oranges come together in a circular motion on the canvas combined with large brush strokes and a heavily textured surface.
Iris Kaplan lives in Windham, New York and is an accomplished fashion designer, artist, and businessperson. She has been painting since she was very young and studied art at Pratt Institute in New York City. She continued her education in Paris, London, and the Far East. As a fashion designer, her work was displayed in Saks Fifth Ave, Lord and Taylor’s and other notable stores. She has been inspired to paint her mountaintop surroundings and her watercolors focus on skiers and landscapes. She is a board member of the Windham Arts Alliance.
